History - First known by its Aboriginal name Bigi Bigi. Originally part of Five Dock Farm this area was then claimed in the 1950's by Dr Fortescue.

Culture - A waterfront peninsula with parklands and a wading area. This suburb is known for its pizzeria at the end of Blackwall Point Road and is the right elevation to view fireworks
